About us
Education first — then help getting it right
The US Annuity Institute exists because retirement income products are explained badly. The brochures are cheerful, the contracts are dense, and the person walking a retiree through both is usually paid by the outcome. We do two things: explain annuities in language you can act on, and — when one genuinely fits — help you get the right contract through independent licensed professionals.
What we hold ourselves to
We name the trade-off
Every product feature costs something — liquidity, upside, or a fee. If a guide describes a benefit without describing its price, it is not finished.
We will tell you when the answer is no
We do not accept payment for placement, and we say plainly when an annuity is the wrong tool for you. Recommending nothing is a valid outcome of a review.
Reviewed before publication
Each guide is checked by a licensed professional for accuracy, and updated when rules or common practice change.

How we are funded
When a reader asks to speak with someone, we introduce them to an independent licensed professional in their state, and we are compensated for that introduction. We are not paid more for one product than another, and the introduction is optional — most people use the site purely to read. We say this plainly because knowing how a publisher earns money is part of judging what it publishes.
